For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

Disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the Yucatan Peninsula
and Belize are associated with a tropical wave.  This system is
forecast to move west-northwestward and emerge over the extreme
southwestern Gulf of Mexico by late Thursday.  Some development is
then possible on Friday near the east coast of Mexico before the
disturbance likely becomes absorbed by a cold front this weekend.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.

SYNOPSIS

The cold front moves southeast across the area this evening with
high pressure building into the area tonight into tomorrow. North-
northwesterly winds increase overnight into early Wednesday
morning leading to Small Craft conditions over our waters. The
high will be situated to the north on Wednesday and then to the
northeast Thursday. A weak coastal trough develops over our
nearshore waters resulting in easterly winds and an increase in
shower activity.

The approximate location of the west wall of the Gulf Stream as of
Oct 19, 2019 at 1200 UTC...
